Abstract : This study was conducted to determines: (1) the influence of bottom heat on the regeneration of Eugenia stem cuttings; (2) the influence of types of cutting on the regeneration of Eugenia stem cuttings; (3) the influence of different levels of Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA) on the regeneration of Eugenia stem cuttings; and (4) the interaction effect of bottom heat treatment and the different levels of concentration of NAA on the regeneration of Eugenia stem cuttings. The experiment Three-Way Factorial design has three grouping factors were laid out in 2 x 3 x 6 factorials in split plots arranged to take the first factor as main and remaining two factors as sub-factors in RCBD with three replications. The main whole of B1- with bottom heat and B2- without bottom heat; sub-plot of C1-no axillary shoots, C2- single axillary shoots, and C3- two axillary shoots; and sub-sub plot of NAA with T1- 0 ppm, T2- 500 ppm, T3- 1000 ppm, T4- 1500 ppm, T5- 2000 ppm, and T6- 2400 ppm. Bottom heat application of significantly promoted shoot productions both in terms of numbers of shoot and size of leaves of successfully regenerated cuttings. Cuttings without axillary shoots retained more leaves and gave a higher rooting percentage than cuttings with 2 axillary shoots. Moreover, the application of NAA significantly enhanced leaf retention; increased rooting percentage; number, diameter, and length of roots; the fresh and dry weight of roots; and roots starch and sugar contents. It also significa.

Abstract : This study evaluated 10 sugarcane cultivars for their response to some biotic and abiotic factors limiting sugarcane cultivation in Nigeria. Cane setts of the cultivars were supplied by the National Cereal Research Institute (NCRI) Badeggi, Niger state, Nigeria. Planting was done on ploughed and harrowed soil, at the rate of 40 setts/plots and 1 m spacing. The total land area was 61 m x 19 m (1,159 m2). It was divided into 30 plots of 5 m x 5 m (25 m2). Cultivars were allocated to the plots randomly in a randomized complete block experimental design having three replicates. Data were collected for six months on sett germination, termite infestation, sett rot infection, disease incidence/severity and drought tolerance. All data were subjected to statistical analysis and mean separation using Minitab software. The results obtained showed a high percentage of sett germination for most cultivars, only N27 had below 50%. All cultivars were susceptible to termite infestation and sett rot infection, but the percentage termite infestation was low across cultivars, the highest being 10.83% (B991114 and B881104), while percentage sett rot infection was high in a few cultivars, as much as 55.00% in N27. Seven cultivars showed susceptibility to at least one of red rot, sugarcane white leaf and sugarcane mosaic diseases. Three cultivars were extremely susceptible to drought, while only two (BBZ951034 and B881104) exhibited tolerance. Two cultivars, B991114 and SP81-3250, had no incidence.

Title : Rice Market Integration Between Indonesia with Rice Exporters Country in ASEAN
by Muhlis, Harianto, Rita Nurmalina, Dedi Budiman Hakim,
Abstract : This study examines the integration of the rice market between Indonesia as a rice importing country and Thailand-Vietnam as a rice exporting country within the ASEAN region. The data used in this study were monthly data on rice prices in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam from January 2001 to May 2018. Data analysis used Johansen cointegration model and is estimated using a vector autoregretion in different using two different research models. The difference between the first and second models is differentiated in the endogenous variables of Indonesian rice prices, the first model uses the price in dollars while the second model uses the rupiah. In the second model, enter the exogenous variabel exchange rate into the model. The cointegration Johansen test results show that there is no market integration between the Indonesian market with Thailand and Vietnam. The results of the VAR in different test show that the short-term integration that occurs between Indonesia-Thailand and Indonesia-Vietnam is weak. Market integration was not formed due to the rice import policy and price stability implemented by the Indonesian government to protect domestic farmers and consumers.

Abstract : The price of commercial feed, which is becoming more expensive, has caused the need for alternative fish feed with the same quality but at a lower price. The feed costs are the most significant component in catfish farming. The larvae of Black Soldier Fly or maggots can be used as an additional alternative feed. This study aimed to determine the efficiency of feed costs by providing additional maggot feed-in Sangkuriang catfish cultivation. Furthermore, the effect of giving maggots was also analyzed in the feasibility business of catfish farming. The results showed that the most efficient feed cost was a combination of 50% commercial feed in the form of pellets and 50% maggots. This combination of feed reduced costs by IDR 675 / kilogram of feed. The business feasibility indicator of this combination of feed showed better results than the use of pellets only. NPV increased to IDR 1,831,038, IRR of 64.41%, Net B / C with a value of 2.36, and the Pay Back Period improved at 15 months. Thus, the best recommendation for Sangkuriang catfish cultivation is a combination of 50% commercial feed and 50% maggots.

Title : Price transmission in the broiler chicken sector in Indonesia: an asymmetric NARDL approach
by Jojo Jojo, Harianto Harianto, Rita Nurmalina, Dedi B. Hakim,
Abstract : Broiler chicken meat is a strategic commodity that is growing rapidly, produced by the livestock sub-sector. West Java Province is the main producer of broiler chickens in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the price transmission in the supply chain of broiler chickens. This study used an asymmetric NARDL model. The data used were monthly data on farmer, wholesale and retail from January 2014 to December 2019. The results show that in the farmer-wholesales relationship, there is a long-term price asymmetry, as well as wholesale-retailer relationship. Meanwhile, the relationship between farmer and retail does not occur in the long term asymmetrical relationship. The result also suggests to improve the structure of the broiler market is that the government needs to provide facilities for smallholder farmers to join independent farmer groups.
